LEAGUE GAME (HOME) V COLLITON THURSDAY MAY 24TH 2007
So back to League action after our victory against Plush, we entertained Colliton at the Dust Bowl. Losing the toss again, Colliton elected to bat and posted a respectable 97 off their 16 overs, with Rich Fagence picking up 3 wickets.
However, our reply was not helped by yours truly getting out in the first over for the second match running; I must point out that this is quite deliberate this is simply a test for the rest of the team to come to the party !
The match was won with over 5 overs to spare after a sparkling 76 run partnership between James ‘Cool as Chris Gayle’ Franzen (45) and Chris Coates- Dale (28). Chris Rickard also waded in at the end with some lusty blows in his quick fire 15 not out.
And so the CDCC juggernaught heads for Winfrith on Thursday for our return fixture.
