HAZELBURY BRYAN versus CDCC
Thursday June 12th
2008
And so a trip into
the Blackmore Vale, for possibly our most northerly conquest.
Skip wins the toss
and elects to bat on what turns out to be a fairly indifferent pitch.
Skip and Oxfam Rickard get off to a good start, but Skip perishes with
about 34 on the board after 5 overs. Mark slipped in and out, to be
followed by JB, who kept up a good tempo (with the umpire as well)
before succumbing to a straight one. Cameos from all others gave us a
very respectable score of 116 off 18 overs.
Tidy bowling once
again from Rich and Mark meant Hazelbury were never in the hunt, and
despite a bit of a ragged ending, CDCC came home by 20 runs.
