Kim on for a hat-trick

 With 4 games to go, and promotion and relegation more or less settled without our involvement, it was time to entertain Cattistock; the fixture is always competitive but good natured, and we did need to avenge our drubbing at their ground.

 Cattistock elected to field and got off to a solid start. CDCC were a little quiet in the field, but dramatically sprang into life following a wonderful one handed catch in the deep by Dr Mac. This was the catalyst for a major collapse with Mark taking 3 wickets, both Ed and Rich F bowling very steadily and Kim claiming the last 5 wickets for 13 runs; technically Kim is on a hat trick next game!!! CDCC also had a good piece of luck when Ed misfielded off his own bowling to run out the non striker.

 So 79 to chase, and it was left to Smithy and Greg to get us off to a good start; well start, middle and finish was what they managed with Smithy playing a Strausseque innings including  a few meaty slaps, and Greg displaying a penchant for the old fashioned leg drive, or Sohowan swish. All done with an over to spare with Smithy undefeated on 41, Greg not out 26.
