Short report

We were dicked by 10 wickets!

(Not much point in reading on then is there?)

Long Handle

CDCC won the toss and decided to bat on a fairly nice evening for the time of year. The outfield was very lush and a combination of tidy bowling and worn out bodies saw Skip and Smithy put on a fairly sedate opening stand of 63 in 12 overs; Skip succumbing to a rank full toss. Enter the Doyley, dressed as if he was just off for a night out in Benidorm. Not content with running out Smithy, he then proceeded to despatch Zim (serves him right for wearing that hat) and himself in the same fashion; this mid order collapse included Dr Mac’s slap to mid wicket (hope he never has to administer CPR!) ; Jesus ably tried to rectify our position, but 113 after 20 overs never seemed enough.

So with much huffing and puffing, CDCC desperately tried for a breakthrough but none was forthcoming; apart from a sharp chance to Kiss Me Quick, the 2 openers competently saw their side home, in spite of Greg’s superb bowling display.

Move on!!!
