Club captain, Jon Butterworth remarked, "This is a tremendous feat given that he only has 1 shot in his locker, everyone in the club should be encouraged by Andy getting this award, because if he can do it anyone can! I've seen some batsmen in my long and illustrious career and Andy is without doubt one of them"

Andy said in his broad Somerset accent  "I was not surprised to get the award coz I knows that I is the best".

His team-mates are on the whole happy for him, with the unanimous opinion that he is the biggest slapper in the village! His wife of 5 months was unavailable for comment, but she would have said "The award has not change Andy, he still snores and sweats far too much for my liking!"
